2 weeks ago Malaysian Britpop heroes The Times launched their cranking new EP titled The Ballad Of Jimi Acid with a sweaty little rock n roll gig at One Cafe in Kuala Lumpur. After going with 2 different indie labels for their first 3 albums, they’re now taking the DIY route with this 4-song EP, which sees them going for a more upbeat sound.
The first single from the EP, appropriately titled Spektakular, sees their trademark Britpop sound enhanced by a blast of catchy guitar work and one of their most anthemic choruses to date. Give it a listen below and check them out at theirMyspace page.
